Junior Field Geologist

 We are seeking recent graduates and junior-level Geologists with a minimum of 2 to 5 years experience for our New York City location.

Prospective applicants must have either internship or academic experience in one or more of the following areas:

●        Providing oversight and logging of geotechnical explorations (borings, test pits, CPTs);

●        Developing laboratory and field testing programs;

●        Preparing reports, including the evaluation of collected field and laboratory results, preparation of figures and drawings;

Applicants are required to have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology.  Certification towards licensure as a Professional Geologist is a plus.  Applicants with current NICET Geotechnical Certification Levels I, II, or III with NYC Special Inspection experience is a plus.  Applicants with OSHA 10-hr or 40-hour HAZWOPER training is a plus.  Applicants who have experience in performing engineering analyses (i.e., slope stability, foundation settlement, deep foundation design) is a plus.

Applicants should have good writing and analytical skill, and be able to work in a collaborative and dynamic team environment. Please be aware that fieldwork is required. Applicants may be required travel to work sites in New York City, Long Island, the Hudson Valley, Connecticut and New Jersey, with work being performed Monday through Friday and the possibility of occasional overtime, evening, and weekend work.
